Sir,

I am directed to inform you that the following charges bave been

preferred against you by the Colonial Surgeon:-

(1.) That on the 5th instant you were under the influece of drink whilst on duty at the Lunatic Asylum.

(2.) That on the above date you disobeyed orders ty going into the Female Ward when there was no case of emergency requiring your

presence there.

(3.) That on the above date between the hours of 5.30p.m. and 6.30 p.m. whilst under the influence of liquor you indecently assault ed a female inmate of the Asylum named Li Sze Mui, and attempted to

Dave connection with her.

(4.) That you have transgressed the order made by the Colonial Surgeon on the 11th October last by taking Alcoholic liquors in contra

vention of that order.

(5.) That in spite of frequent warning you have rendered yourself unfit for your post by chronic alcoholism.

2.- In view of the above charges au to inform you
